Point Structure
Creating a points structure can drive students and fans to traditionally less attended events and special events like tournaments or playoff games.
The 5,10,15 System
We recommend assigning 5, 10, or 15 points to events. There are several ways to incorporate this system. One example would be assigning 5 points to home events, 10 points to away events, and 15 points to post-season events. You can also assign more than 15 points for special events. You can also assign points based on an event’s popularity. The most popular events would be worth 5 points while the least popular events would be worth 15 points. Events that attract moderate attendance would be worth 10 points. This helps drive attendance to less popular events.
Best Practice: Increase Attendance
Tier your events to offer more incentive for less attended events and less points for highly attended events. Ask your Account Manager how to set up an all-around point structure.
