Adding an event against a team without an RPI code

RPI codes are associated with teams within the Presto network to be able to connect those teams to various files on websites, such as schedule pages, stats pages, and standings pages. Those codes are also used to link logos and have them display on websites. Teams will only show up as an available opponent if they have an RPI code associated with the team in that season. You can add an event against a team without an RPI code by following these instructions:

  1. PrestoWeb clients will need to login to their website. Non-PrestoWeb clients will need to login to the general Presto network

  2. Go to the GameDay tab

  3. Navigate to the season and click on the Schedule tab

  4. Click add event

  5. Add the information for the event. You can find more information about the different event fields on this Help Center page.

  6. In the Visitor and Home fields enter your team in the corresponding field and then type the opponent’s name in the other field. After you enter their name click outside of that field to make sure you don’t select one of other team options that are shown in the dropdown under that field.

  7. Click Save at the bottom of the page

  8. The screen will reload and the following message will appear at the top of the page- “The team 'Team' is not in our list. Please check to make sure you spelled the name correctly or look for alternate ways to refer to them. If you cannot find the team name, check the box below to indicate that this team is not in our list.”

  9. You will need to check the box next to “Team not in our list.” underneath the team without the RPI code.

  10. Click Save to create the event and add it to your schedule.

Video instructions:

Since the team you created the event against has no RPI code, this means they don’t have a roster saved within the network. You can find instructions for adding a roster for a team without one saved by going to this Help Center page.
