Adjusting Content of Components on Sports Homepages

Would you like to adjust a component on a particular sports homepage to showcase content that is different from your website homepage and other sports homepages? For instance, if you have sponsors that are specific to Men's Basketball, you might want to highlight their logos on the Men's Basketball page. Here are the steps you can follow to achieve this!

* You must have Website tab access to your website to make the below updates. Need to address your user settings? Find more info here.

  1. Identify the component you would like to be sport-specific. For this example we will use the sponsor slider file: ‘navbar-sponsors’. To find the filename powering the component you want to make sport-specific, click on the component name on this Help Center page.

  2. Login to your Presto website.

  3. Click on the “Website” tab.

  4. Find the navbar-sponsors, or other file you want to work with. For themes that utilize a tabbed area to display certain components, such as the Recent News and Photo Gallery components on the Knockout theme, you will also need to copy the navbar: text file that pulls in the files that power those components. Here are the themes that use that setup along with the name of the navbar: text file you will need to copy:
    Alliance: navbar-tabs
    Dynasty: navbar-tabs
    Elite: navbar-media
    Knockout: navbar-tabs
    Lateral: navbar-tabs
    Velocity: navbar-tabs-section

  5. Check the box next to the file and click the copy button towards the bottom of your screen.

  6. On the copy page, choose the sport section(s) you would like to have the specific content. For example, select '/sports/bsb' to copy to your baseball section.

  7. Click Copy

Now you can manage your content to be sport homepage-specific by updating the file inside of your sport section(s) separately from the file on your website homepage. Any sports sections that do not receive a copy of the file will continue to use the same root file they were using previously.
