Adjusting schedule pages to account for event limit on schedule pages on conference websites

The schedule pages on Presto websites can only display up to 500 events at a time. This limit can be hit very quickly on conference websites that sponsor certain sports that have a lot of events (baseball, softball, volleyball, etc.). By default the schedule pages will display the first 500 events from all teams connected to the schedule page. To be able to display later season events that come after those first 500 events, you have to either have to adjust the restrictions on the schedule page or change all of your schedule pages to use the same template as the composite schedule page on your website.

Adjusting schedule restrictions

  1. Login to your website and go to the Website tab

  2. Click on the sports section and then click on the specific sport section (bsb, sball, wvball, etc.)

  3. Click on the season section and then click edit content on the schedule file

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Restrictions

  5. Use the Manually restrict by date restriction to adjust the start date to further into the season, so that the schedule page will hide earlier season events. You may need to come back and adjust that date if the page is still hitting the 500 event limit before the last events connected to the schedule page display.

  6. Select the last date of events or the last date you want events to show on the schedule page

  7. Click Save Restrictions and then scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save

Refresh the schedule page and you will now see the new schedule restriction taking effect and showing those end of season events. Visitors to the website can still view a member school’s full schedule by using the Team filter at the top of the page to select their schedule.
