Custom Article Footers

For articles on the website you can add custom footer text. This can be used, for example, to highlight a specific campus event, sell to a sponsor or just have fans contact you with any typos.

To do this, you would just add an article: rich file named article-footer to any section in the website tab that has a news headlines file in it and all articles in that file will show this footer. For example, if you'd like to have specific footers at the bottom of your Football releases, add this to /sports/fball, if you want one for all sports add it directly to your /sports section and all sports will pick up the same file.

Instructions

To get started:

  1. Sign in

  2. Click on the Website tab

  3. Navigate to the appropriate section

  4. Click [add here] to the right under Options

  5. From the content type drop down menu, select “article: rich”

  6. Name the file article-footer, you do not need to fill in any other fields

  7. Click continue

  8. Add content in the edit content area of what you’d like to feature at the bottom of your articles.

  9. Click save and view your work!

NOTE: If you'd like to remove the footer from a specific article in any section, you can copy/paste or type this code directly into the content at the bottom of the article you want this hidden from and it will hide the footer:
$request.setAttribute("disable_article_footer", "y")
