The Scoreboard component pulls events from schedules connected to the composite schedule files on your website. It is recommended that you only connect schedules from the current season or next upcoming season to reduce the amount of events pulling into this component. Updating this component requires you to connect schedules to those composite schedule files which you can do by following the instructions below:

Instructions

In both the root directory ("home" page of the Website tab) and in all of the sports sections (/sports/SPORT/) you will see a file called "composite". This is a schedule: view file that powers all of your scoreboards, upcoming events, calendars, and scoreboard tickers. Within the composites are different views set to power each component listed above.

Be sure to check that your composite schedule only has one season's worth of schedules in there. Remove any old schedules out of it. Having too many schedules connected to this file can cause issues with your Scoreboard component and other areas of the website loading.

For every sport schedule in the composite schedule, make sure there are events in there first. If the schedule is empty when linking it to your composite it could cause errors.

Adding schedules to composite through the Game day tab

  1. Sign in to your site and click on the Game day tab

  2. Click on the season link next to the appropriate season under View all seasons. If you want to edit an out of season sport, click the "Seasons" link in the red navigation bar at the top or click View all seasons.

Editing your composite views

  1. Sign in to your site and click on the Website tab

  2. Navigate to the appropriate section
Note: your composite files will be in the root directory (which will power your home page) and in each sports section (/sports/SPORT/)

  3. Mouse over the composite file and click [edit content]

  4. Click the edit button next to the view you would like to adjust. The view used to control different parts of the Scoreboard component of your website can vary from website to website. You can contact our support team through this form if you are unsure of which views power different areas of the Scoreboard component.
Note: The only view you shouldn’t adjust is view 0 which controls the events that display on your composite schedule page. That view by default is set to display all events connected to the root directory composite file.

  5. From here you can adjust the settings for that view to display a certain number of events, a certain range of days, or a certain range of dates. To adjust the number of days/events shown, check the radio button next to the option you prefer and enter in the appropriate number.

  6. From the Sorting drop down field, select the sorting method you prefer
Note: Our standard views for Upcoming Events are Next 5 events sorted oldest to newest. Our standard view for Scoreboard is Last 5 events sorted newest to oldest

  7. Click Save View

  8. Click Save changes
