Manual Event Setup
Follow the steps below to setup events manually on the PrestoMobile dashboard:
On the admin dashboard click Events on the menu to the left.
To add a new event you can either click Add New Event or hover over a specific date and click the green Add option.
On the event details settings page enter the following info:
Event Title
Venue Selection
Start / End Date & Time
Check-in Points**
Description / Notes**
FanPoll selection**
Tags**
**optional fields
After entering the event details click Create My Event.
Best Practice: Tags
Save a few different tags on the events so that your team receives event more data within reports. We suggest adding tags for the specific season, sport, promotions, etc. (22/23, mens basketball, alumni weekend)
SHOW MORE OPTIONS
To customize your events event more click the Show more options hyperlink before clicking Create My Event. Below is additional details on about the options.
Tickets URL
If you have a ticketing url or just a url you are wanting to have visible on the event with a promoted button enter the link here & save the text you would like to show on within the Tickets Label (Ex: Buy Tickets, Parking Info, etc.)
Under the Tickets URL box there is a Create General Admission tickets option which is directly tied to PrestoTickets. For more info on how to setup PrestoTickets click HERE.
Links
You can place additional hyperlinks & graphics within an event which will show at the bottom of the events detail page in app.
To get started click Add a Link, you will now see the option to upload an image or logo (not required) and then you can enter the link text and the URL. If an image is not uploaded the link text is what will show.
You can add multiple additional links and this is also a great place to showcase event specific sponsors.
DUPLICATE EVENTS
If your team is manually entering events we encourage admin to use our Duplicate Event button which can be found when viewing the event details summary page.
When you click Duplicate Event the event settings edit page will open with all of the same details from the event you were just on. Now you can easily change specific details about the new event while still keeping other saved settings so that you don’t have to go through those steps each time.
The Duplicate Event feature makes inputting a single schedule a quicker task as you would just need to change the opponent, venue, & date/time. We have found the event image and descriptions stay the same for the most part.
