Editing stats in PrestoStats 2.0 Football
When editing stats here are a few notes you should be aware of:
PrestoStats can only be used to edit a PAK stats file. If an XML file was uploaded to generate the box score, then you can’t use PrestoStats to edit that file. An error message will appear describing this limitation and will ask if you will want to proceed by deleting the XML file and starting the game over. In this scenario, you should be reaching out to the institution that inputted the stats, ask them to make the edits on their end, and then send you an updated XML file to upload to the event or have them upload an updated XML file if they have access.
Depending on the number of edits you need to make to the game it actually may be easier to revert the box score to the version before where the edits need to be made, and then re-input the stats from there.
These instructions can be used for making edits while the game is in progress or after the game has been completed. If the game has been completed and marked as final, you will need to change the status of the game back to In Progress before you can edit plays. You can do that by going back to the event in GameDay, click edit, change the Status to In progress, then click Save.
When making edits you should check to make sure the changes are being saved and are syncing to the network by clicking on the green sync button in the bottom left corner of the page and make sure the timestamp shows that update going through:

Editing participation
A player has to be marked as a participant for the game to be able to be selected for plays within the game. If they are marked as a participant it will credit the player with a game played even if they weren’t selected for any plays. It’s recommended to leave as many players marked as participants as possible, so you don’t run into an issue where a player isn’t available to be selected for a play during the game.
From the play input screen click on the team logo on the left side to select the team and then click on the Rosters tab
By default all players are marked as participating in the game. Uncheck the box next to the player under Participant to mark them as not participating. Check the box to mark them as participating. It’s best to wait until the end of the game to uncheck all players you know didn’t play so they aren’t credited with a game played.
