I’m seeing buffering, skipping in my broadcast
It’s possible it’s coming from the site of the broadcast, if you have the same issue on multiple devices or networks you can report the issue to us.
If you’re not sure still, check to make sure your internet connection is working on another site or app. If you’re on a mobile network or wifi, is there a stronger internet source you can switch to? Ethernet/Hard Line is the fastest connection, followed by WiFi and then Cell/Mobile networks, keep that in mind as well!
I see an error message instead of my stream, what can I do?
If a stream has not started or has an interruption you might see either a spinning circle or a message saying that we are not receiving a stream. You might want to try another browser incase what they are sending has issues in certain browsers. We always recommend Chrome or Firefox for viewing.
What browser can I watch streams with?
We recommend using Chrome or Firefox browsers for best performance. They tend to work better than Edge or Safari. Here are some ideal System Requirements.
PrestoStream System Requirements for best viewing
Windows 10 or later or Windows Server 2016 or later
macOS High Sierra 10.13 or later
Linux 64-bit Ubuntu 18.04+, Debian 10+, openSUSE 15.2+, or Fedora Linux 32+
iOS 12 or above , iPad iOS 13 or above
Android Red Velvet Cake (OS 11)
Can I watch on my TV?
In most cases you can cast the video player in the browser to your TV using Chromecast or Apple TV. Some of our streams are in apps, please inquire with the organizer to know for sure.
I’ve downloaded an app on AppleTV, Chromecast, FireTV or Roku and I do not see my event.
There are a few reasons this can happen, we recommend viewing in the browser in this case. Keep in mind that ROKU does not support pay per view events. If you are trying to watch a PPV event, please stick to AppleTV, FireTV or Chromecast only.
I’ve purchased a Pay Per View event on my computer or phone but cannot access it on my OTT device.
Keep in mind that AppleTV, FireTV and Chromecast support PPV events, Roku does not. If you’re using a supported device please ensure that you’re logged in with the same email and password combination that you purchased the pass with. The OTT app will direct you to a site to log in with your individual confirmation code to confirm your app sees your purchases. Please reach out to support if you need help with this.
What AppleTV, Chromecast, FireTV and Roku models do you support?
We don’t limit usage by model, but we have found that the following models work best:
Apple TV (4th Gen 2017 or newer)
Chromecast (3rd Gen 2018 or newer)
FireTV Devices (2018 or newer)
Roku (8th Gen 2019 or newer)
