Section

Review our guide and video below for how to create different sections within the Website tab on your website.

Sections are used to create different areas within the Website tab to store pages and files. Each website has sections that are created for you when the site is built to store some of the main areas of the website, such as information and sports. Creating sections for storing files and pages is used to help organize the content on your website. This will keep your root directory less cluttered by storing files and pages in the sections that you create. You can use these instructions for creating sections within the root directory of the Website tab or for creating sub-sections within pre-existing sections. Here is a breakdown of the sections that are created by default for all websites:

landing- This section is where the website homepage and News Rotator for the homepage are stored.

images- This section is the main area where you should upload photos, logos, graphics, banners, sponsor logos, etc. for the website.

information- This section is the default area where the staff directory file is located. There will be a sub-section in there named directory where the file powering that page is located. This section can be used for storing and organizing files as well as general information pages.

splash- This section is used for storing splash pages. More information on creating splash pages can be found here- https://help.prestosports.com/PrestoWeb/v1/splash

sports- This section will contain sub-sections for each of your sports teams. These sub-sections use a specific naming convention to connect those areas to the GameDay tab. These section names can’t be renamed as that will break the link between those areas in the Website tab with the GameDay tab. Within each of these sub-sections you will find a coaches sub-section for creating coaches' bios, the file for the sport homepage, navbar files for that sport, as well as sub-sections for each season that has been setup on the website.
