StatView

Instructions

Review our guide below for steps on accessing StatView.

Part 1: For PrestoWeb/PrestoStats Clients

Because your website and stats are fully integrated within the PrestoSports ecosystem, StatView links are generated and displayed automatically.

Step 1: Account Enablement (PrestoSports Team)

  1. StatView must first be enabled for your account by the PrestoSports support team. (Internally, this is done via the Client Manager by adding your team's RPI to the Stat View tab).

Step 2: Score the Game

  1. Continue to stat your games normally using PrestoStats (or by sending your stats into the PrestoSports CMS). The data automatically feeds directly into the StatView platform.

Step 3: Verify "PrimeTime/StatView" is Enabled

  1. Log into the PrestoSports CMS and navigate to your season schedule.

  2. Click into the specific event.

  3. Ensure that PrimeTime/StatView is checked/enabled for the event. Once enabled, the system automatically generates a StatView link, which will appear under the Related Info section of the event.

Step 4: Push Links to Your Live Website

  1. To ensure the newly generated StatView links appear publicly on your PrestoWeb schedule page, you must regenerate the schedule.

  2. Simply Edit a single event on the schedule and click Save. This action pushes the update to the front end, making the links live for your fans.

Part 2: For Non-PrestoStats Clients
StatView provides a real-time, interactive live stats display for fans and media. If your athletic program uses PrestoWeb for your official athletics website but you score your games using third-party software (such as NCAA Live Stats/Genius or StatCrew), this guide will walk you through how to connect your data and display StatView links on your website.

Phase 1: Connecting Your Live Data

Because you do not use PrestoStats to score your games, you need a way to send your live game data into the PrestoSports ecosystem. You will use the PrestoSync utility on your scoring computer to accomplish this.

  1. Download & Install: Download and install the PrestoSync utility (provided by your PrestoSports account representative) onto your primary scoring computer. Please find the Download and How-to for PrestoSync HERE.

  2. Configure Local Folder:

    • Open PrestoSync.

    • Point the utility to the specific folder on your computer where your local scoring software (e.g., NCAA Live Stats or StatCrew) saves its live XML files.

    • Ensure your local scoring software is set to "Auto-Save" or "Live XML" mode so that the file updates continuously throughout the game.

  3. Start the Sync: Before the game begins, open PrestoSync and click Start. As the game progresses, Presto Sync will automatically detect the updated XML file and push it to the PrestoSports CMS in real-time.

Phase 2: Displaying StatView Links on Your Website

Because you use PrestoWeb, your website is directly connected to the PrestoSports CMS. Once your data is flowing via Presto Sync, the system does the heavy lifting to generate and display your links.

  1. Verify "Prime Time": Log into the PrestoSports CMS and navigate to your season schedule in GameDay. Click into your upcoming event and ensure the Prime Time checkbox is enabled. Once enabled, the system automatically generates a StatView link for that game.

  2. Push to Your Website: To ensure the newly generated StatView link appears publicly on your PrestoWeb schedule page, simply click Edit on the event and then click Save.

  3. Result: This action regenerates your schedule page and pushes the live StatView link directly to the front end of your website for fans to click.

Phase 3: Adding StatView to Prior Seasons

Did you know that all of your prior seasons are already available in StatView? You can easily give your fans access to historical interactive box scores by exposing these links on your past schedule pages.

If you would like StatView links to appear on schedules from previous years:

  1. Log into the PrestoSports CMS and navigate to GameDay.

  2. Use the season dropdown menu to select a prior season (e.g., 2024-25 Men's Basketball).

  3. Click on any event on that past schedule to open the Event Details page.

  4. Click the Edit button at the top, scroll to the bottom, and click Save (you do not need to make any actual changes to the event).

  5. Result: Clicking "Save" forces the entire schedule page to regenerate. The system will automatically pull the historical StatView links and publish them to that specific season's schedule on your live website.

Part 3: For StatView Only Clients
Even though you use a third-party website provider and local stat software (such as NCAA Live Stats/Genius or StatCrew), you will use the PrestoSports CMS (GameDay) to manage your schedule, sync your live data, and generate your StatView links.

Phase 1: Getting Started in the PrestoSports CMS

Before you can generate a StatView link, your games need to be entered into our system. If you are new to the PrestoSports platform, please review these essential tutorials to familiarize yourself with GameDay:

  • Logging into CMS Gameday

  • Setting up your seasons

  • Adding Events

  • Setting up events for PrimeTime
Phase 2: Connecting Your Live Data

To ensure your local stat data flows correctly to StatView online, you will use the PrestoSync utility on your scoring computer. Please find the Download and How-to for PrestoSync HERE.

    1. Download & Install: Download and install the PrestoSync utility provided by your PrestoSports onboarding team onto your primary scoring computer.

    2. Configure Local Folder:

      • Open Presto Sync.

Phase 3: Accessing Your Links (What You'll See in the CMS)

Because you do not use PrestoWeb, your StatView links will not automatically appear on your official athletics website. You will need to retrieve the link from the CMS and manually share it.

Here is what you will see in the CMS and how to grab your link:

    1. Log into the PrestoSports CMS and navigate to your team's Schedule in GameDay.

    2. Click on the specific event/game you are preparing for.

    3. On the Event Details page, scroll down to the Related Info (or Links) section.

    4. What's New: You will now see a dedicated StatView URL generated specifically for this game.

    5. Share: Copy this URL. You can now manually add this link to your external website's schedule page, share it on social media, or provide it to your broadcast team for their graphics.
