Upload Archive for an event you did not stream live

This article relates to uploading a video that you did not stream live, but want to make available for viewers on demand.

To upload an archive you need to have a completed event to house the file.

Create the event as if it were going to start at your current time plus ten minutes. For example if it’s 3:00 pm when you log in to create the event, have the start time be 3:10 pm on that day.

It’s important to place the event in the near future like this to allow it to cross a start time and turn “live”. If you’d like to hide the event from the public until it is completely uploaded change “List In Portal” to NO for the time being.

Once your event’s start time has arrived, go to “Test/End Events”. Click on the event, click the “End” button. Confirm.

Now, on your Home page, click on the event on the calendar to enter the Event Editor again. With the event completed you should have a blue box at the top that has a link to upload your new file.

Select “Upload Archive File”

Click the “Choose File” button, select your file, then click “Upload”.

Once the file has finished uploading you can now change “List in Portal” to YES to allow viewers to see it.

You can then change your event time and date, but only to a PAST date/time. If you mistakenly move your event time to the future your file will be deleted automatically.
