The Stats Pages Customization editor lets you decide exactly which statistics appear on your public stats pages — and how they're organized — without touching a line of code. One customization page controls up to five public views for a sport: the Teams page, an individual Team page, the Players page, an individual Player page, and the Leaders page.
Where to find it
The customization editor lives on a special page called a Stats Pages Customization page (your PrestoSports contact sets it up in the stats area of your site — if you don't have one yet, reach out through the Helpdesk). Opening the page for editing shows the visual editor:
Each tab controls one public page. A red note at the top of a tab means that tab is not configured yet — the public page simply keeps its standard layout. You only need to configure the tabs you want to change.
Step 1: Select Your Sport
-
Open your Stats Pages Customization page.
-
Choose your sport from the Sport dropdown.
-
The stat catalogs in every tab will automatically update to match the selected sport.
-
Note: Once you save the page (or once any tab has content), the sport is locked for that page so your configuration always matches its stat catalog.
Step 2: Build Your Layout
Every tab functions similarly: you will build categories (or sections) that hold a list of stats. You pick these stats from the Available list on the left and move them to the Selected table on the right.
Using the Layout Tools:
-
Move Stats: Select a stat and click Add > to move it to your Selected table. Use < Remove or << Remove all to take them out.
-
Find Stats: Use the search box above the Available list. You can type any part of a stat's name or its abbreviation (e.g., typing "treb" or "rebounds" will both pull up Total Rebounds).
-
Reorder Columns: Drag the ☰ handle next to a selected stat to reorder it.
-
Sort Default: On pages that sort, click the Sort radio button next to a stat to mark it as the default sorting column.
-
Rename Headers: Use the Display box to set the column header your visitors will actually see (keep these short!).
-
Manage Categories: Use the ▲▼ arrows to reorder whole categories, or click the Trash icon to remove one.
Shortcuts:
-
Load suggested page configuration: Click this in the top right to fill the active tab with PrestoSports' recommended layout. This is a great starting point to tweak!
-
Add from defaults...: Use this green dropdown to insert a single ready-made category from the suggested set.
-
Page Layout Example: Click this to open a visual map showing exactly where each piece will appear on the live public page.
Step 3: Configure Position-Based Layouts (Optional)
For sports with distinct positions (like Soccer), one stat line rarely fits everyone. A goalkeeper's numbers are very different from a field player's.
-
On the Individual Player page tab, look for the Show depending position checkbox in the sections for Highlights, Profile, Game Log, and Split/Career.
-
Check the box to split the section into one stat picker per position (e.g., one for Field Players, one for Goalies).
-
Configure each card with the relevant stats for that position. You can click Load defaults inside each card to fill it with our recommendations.
-
If you leave the box unchecked, a single list of stats will be used for every player regardless of position.
Step 4: Configure the Leaders Page Tab
The Leaders tab builds two kinds of content:
-
Sections: These are the actual leaderboards shown on the page. Each stat you add here requires a Title (the heading visitors see) and an Abbr (the column abbreviation).
-
Extra Players Stats / Extra Team Stats: These generate dropdown menus of quick links. Each entry sends visitors to the players or teams page, automatically sorted by that statistic.
Step 5: Save and Publish
When you are finished configuring your tabs, click Save.
