Phase 2: Configuring Presto Sync (The Final Steps)
Now that the Genius IAU is successfully generating a live XML file on your computer, you need to tell PrestoSync where to find it so it can send the data to StatView.
Step 1: Open Presto Sync
-
Launch the PrestoSync application on your scoring computer. (If you do not have Presto Sync installed, please contact PrestoSports Support for the download link).
Step 2: Enter Your Game Information
-
In PrestoSync, enter the Game ID (found on your GameDay schedule in the PrestoSports CMS) or log in using your PrestoSports CMS credentials to select the correct event from your schedule.
Step 3: Point PrestoSync to the IAU Folder
-
In the Presto Sync settings, locate the File Path or Input Directory field.
-
Click Browse and navigate to the exact folder on your computer where the Genius IAU is saving the live XML file (this is the folder you set up in Phase 1).
-
Select the folder so Presto Sync knows exactly where to look for the live data.
Step 4: Select the File Type (If Applicable)
-
Ensure that PrestoSync is set to look for an XML file type, as this is the format generated by the Genius IAU.
Phase 3: Starting the Game & Verifying the Feed
Step 1: Start the Sync
-
Once your folder is selected and your game is loaded, click the Start or Sync button in PrestoSync.
-
Note: PrestoSync will continuously monitor the folder. Every time the Genius IAU updates the XML file (after a play is entered), Presto Sync will automatically grab the new file and push it to StatView.
Step 2: Verify the Data is Flowing
-
As you enter the first few plays in NCAA Live Stats, check the PrestoSync window. You should see a timestamp updating, confirming that the file has been successfully sent to the PrestoSports server.
Step 3: Check Your Live StatView Link
-
Open your generated StatView link in a web browser. Verify that the game clock, score, and play-by-play data are updating in real-time alongside your local NCAA Live Stats software.
