Featured Athlete
These instructions for updating this component refer to websites on our Themes 2.0 platform. You can check to see if your website is on that platform by reviewing your contract or by logging into your website, click on the Website tab, click on the Setup subtab, click Site profile, and check under Features to see if it says Theme 2.0 with a theme name next to it. This will also indicate which theme your website is on which you can use when looking at the filename list. If you don’t see that text, then that means your site is not on our Themes 2.0 platform.

Using player bios
This option is used to connect player bios to this component instead of creating player profiles.
Login to your website and click on the Website tab
Navigate to the appropriate filename based on your website’s theme and click edit content
Click on the file selector box next to the Add featured page field
In the file selector navigate to the section where the player’s bio is stored, click Change, click on the bio file, and then click Add. Player bios are located within the bios section, within the season section, of their sport section. For example, a player on the men’s basketball team in the 2023-24 season would have their bio located here- /sports/mbkb/2023-24/bios. The filename for those bio pages follows this format- lastname_firstname_playerid. For example, the bio file for John Smith would have a filename like this- smith_john_mau9
Repeat steps 3 and 4 to add additional bios
To adjust these files so you can sort them manually click the box next to Featured pages to select all, then click Stick near the bottom of the page. This will allow you to click and drag to adjust the order of these files within the component.
Click Save Changes
You will also need to connect a thumbnail image to the player’s bio file which is the image that will display within the component.
