Social Feature

These instructions for updating this component refer to websites on our Themes 2.0 platform. You can check to see if your website is on that platform by reviewing your contract or by logging into your website, click on the Website tab, click on the Setup subtab, click Site profile, and check under Features to see if it says Theme 2.0 with a theme name next to it. This will also indicate which theme your website is on which you can use when looking at the filename list. If you don’t see that text, then that means your site is not on our Themes 2.0 platform.

The Social Feature component offers two different display modules:

Social Media Feed

This module will display up to three feeds of your social media accounts. This can be used for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube. Please be aware that there are currently issues with Twitter integration that will cause Twitter feeds to not display properly. This is an issue on Twitter’s end that we are waiting for them to resolve before those feeds can display properly again. We recommend using a different social media account feed until that is resolved, as we can change out those feeds after sites are launched.

Social Media Icons

This module will display social media icons that link out to your social media accounts. This module is typically powered by a file that also powers the social media icons that display in other areas of your website.

Social Media Feed

For components using this display module you can’t add new feeds. You can only hide feeds or adjust the order of feeds.

1. Sign into your website and click on the Website tab

2. Navigate to the appropriate file based on the theme your site is on and click edit content

3. To hide a feed click the Remove button on the right side of that file and then click Save Changes. If you want to restore the feed you can do that by clicking the Add button, add the name of the platform in the label field, and add the URL path for the file in the Target URL field. We recommend saving the filename of the feed you are hiding before removing it so you can easily add it back if needed.
   

   

4. To adjust the order of the feeds click and drag them in the order you want them to appear.

Social Media Icons

As mentioned previously the file powering this component may also power the social media icons that display in other areas of the website. In those setups adjusting this file will adjust the icons within this component and in those other areas of the website.

1. Sign into your website and click on the Website tab

2. Navigate to the appropriate file based on the theme your site is on and click edit content

3. To add additional icons click the Add button, enter the name of the social media platform in the Label field, and copy/paste the social media page link in the Target URL field. Then click Save Changes. We support icons for the following platforms:
   Facebook
   Instagram
   Snapchat
   TikTok
   Twitter

4. Click Remove on the right side of a page and then click Save Changes to remove an icon.

5. Click and drag to adjust the display order of the icons.
