Static Image/Video

These instructions for updating this component refer to websites on our Themes 2.0 platform. You can check to see if your website is on that platform by reviewing your contract or by logging into your website, click on the Website tab, click on the Setup subtab, click Site profile, and check under Features to see if it says Theme 2.0 with a theme name next to it. This will also indicate which theme your website is on which you can use when looking at the filename list. If you don’t see that text that means your site is not on our Themes 2.0 platform.

When you select this component you will have two different options to choose from:

Instructions

1. Sign into your website and click on the Website tab

2. Navigate to the images section. If you want to place it within a subsection in that section, click on that section. Click upload files and then upload the new image

3. Once the image has been uploaded, navigate back to the root directory of the Website tab

4. Navigate to the appropriate file based on the theme your site is on and click edit content

5. Connect the image in the Image URL field by clicking on the image selector box to replace the image currently showing in that area

6. Copy/paste an external URL or click on the file selector box to connect an internal page to the image. If you don’t want to connect a URL to the image put a pound sign in that field

7. Enter the alt text for the image

8. Click Save changes

9. To change the text overlay over the image click edit details on the hero-video file, change the text in the Title field, and then click Save Changes

Instructions

1. Sign into your website and click on the Website tab

2. Navigate to the video or videos section. If you don’t have a section like that you can create one by following these instructions.

3. The recommended video length is 15 seconds and the videos will automatically loop within the component

4. To upload an MP4 file click add here on the right side of the page and then upload files

5. Drag and drop or click browse for files to select the files you want to upload

6. Click Done to finish uploading the files

7. To embed a video from YouTube on a page on the site click add here on the right side of the page

8. In the Select a content type dropdown select Video: YouTube hosted and then click Continue

9. In the Link field paste the URL for the video from YouTube and then click Save Changes

10. Once the video has been uploaded to the website, navigate back to the root directory of the Website tab

11. Navigate to the named hero-video and click edit content

12. Click the gray box next to the Add featured page field to select the video you uploaded from the section they were uploaded to. Once selected click Add

13. This component can only display one video at a time, so you should remove any other video files connected to the component besides the one you just added.

14. Click Save Changes

15. To change the text overlay over the video click edit details on the hero-video file, change the text in the Title field, and then click Save Changes
