Contributions

What are contributions?

Contributions allow for a user to share content from their Presto site to another PrestoSports website. Contributions, which can be event-based game recaps or general news, are provided by the user but can be edited and featured by the accepting site. Contributions are added and managed through Game Day on the same page recaps, scores, and related links are added to events. A site can control what season they accept contributions for, who can contribute to their site, and where this information is displayed.

Where you can make contributions?

When signed in to the PrestoSports system, you will submit your contribution through Game day. Contributions are season specific, so to begin select the sport and [manage season] of the season you would like to submit the contribution to. If the sport and season aren't currently being displayed on the home page of your Game day, click on Seasons in the red bar above the date and go to the correct sport and season.

Submitting contributions:

You can submit a contribution in two different ways:

1. The primary way to add a contribution is through an event. This will automatically be set as the recap for the event. Go to the schedule tab in Game day and click on the event you would like to send a contribution for. Click the add button in the section labeled Sites Accepting Contributions. Enter the Title, Date, Lead-in and save.

2. Contributions can also be made for non-event specific information (ie. hiring a coach or a weekly honor). From the contributions tab, select who you want to send the contribution to in the drop-down at the top and then select [add contribution].

Managing contributions:

Once you have started to send in contributions, all of them will be listed under the Contributions tab. Click on the edit button to the right of each title to edit. If you click on the title of the article, you are also given the option to remove the contribution all together. This will remove the contribution from the site that you have made the contribution to.

What to know:

• For PrestoSports clients, the contributions you submit will not effect anything on your own site. Contributions will only be made live on the sites that are accepting contributions.

• Thumbnails and other media will be added to your contribution by the site that is accepting contributions but not by the contributor.

• Once you submit a contribution, you are able to go back and edit it as many times as you would like. The website that receives the contribution is also able to make edits on this release.
