Resolving player linking errors in box scores
An error message will show if a box score is uploaded to an event in GameDay and there are differences between the roster in the box score file and the shared roster for that sport. Here’s what that error message looks like:

That error message can show for multiple reasons:
Differences between jersey number for player in the box score compared to the shared roster
Differences in the name between the player in the box sore compared to the shared roster
A player’s jersey number is changed in the shared roster after the box score is uploaded
A player that is listed in the box score is removed from the shared roster
Here are instructions for linking the correct players to resolve that error:
Go the GameDay tab
Navigate to the season and click on the Schedule tab
Click on the date of the event
Click Edit players under Statistics
At the bottom of the page review the players that didn’t automatically link. Click the Select a player dropdown next to each player and select the player to link the stats to from that dropdown. Click Save to link those players.
If the player you are trying to link in the dropdown isn’t showing, that means they have been removed from the shared roster. You will need to click Cancel on that page, then go back to the shared roster and add the player back. If they were removed from the roster because they left the team and their number was assigned to a new player, then add them back with a number not being used by another player. You can find more information about this process on this page.Once you have linked the correct players that error message will disappear from the page
You can also quickly see which games have a similar error for them by going to the Stats tab, click on Game log, and then look for the games highlighted in yellow:
