Podcasts
You can upload podcasts to the website in MP3 file format for audio only or in MP4 file format for video/audio podcasts. It’s recommended that you create a section named “podcasts” to keep them organized.
Podcast Page Creation Instructions
Sign in and click on the Website tab
Click on podcasts section or create one if you don’t have that section created already.
Click on [add here] which is located to the right under the options menu
Using the Content Type drop down choose Headlines then Continue
Enter the name of the file which will show in the URL for the page. Enter the title for the file which will display at the top of the page on the front end of the website and then click Continue.
On this page you have the following options:
Pages allowed: select Everything in the drop down menu
Sorting: select the sorting that you would like for this headlines
Soft limit: if you want a certain number of articles, bios, etc. being shown in the headlines set a number that you would like to have shown here
Overflow: set up articles to go to an archive page automatically
Click Save Settings and then Save Changes
Upload Instructions
Sign in and click on the Website tab
Click on podcasts section or create one if you don’t have that section created already.
Click on [add here] which is located to the right under the options menu
Click [upload files] on right side of the page. Select the podcast files you want to upload.
Once they are done uploading click the Done button
Go to the files you uploaded and click edit details on each one to enter the following information:
Name: this is the name of the file and will be shown as part of the URL
Date: use the “Pick Date” button to give the podcast a date
Title: this will be the title that appears on the site at the top of the podcast page
Lead in: include a small write up about the podcast which will also show in search enginesTo add these podcasts to the page you created you can either check the box next to each file and click Feature at the bottom of the page and then find that headlines file you created in the dropdown menu. You can also feature the the files individually by click edit details on the file, click in the field that says Featured in headlines, and select the page you created from that dropdown menu.
Once you have created the podcasts page and connected the podcast files to it you can now link that page out on a navigation menu on the website for fans to access.
